Great Start to 2026
January 2026 has been the most successful January on record for DVWG walk attendances. In fact, it also ranks as our third most successful month overall since records began in 2009. The only months to surpass it were boosted by our 10- and 15-year walking festivals.
This is a fantastic achievement for DVWG and a clear reflection of the strength and enthusiasm of our wonderfully crazy group as we look ahead to our 1,000th walk this spring.
DVWG would like to thank everyone for their continued support of the group and our events, and to extend a very warm welcome to all the new walkers who have recently joined us.
Thank you, everyone.

DVWG Presentation Evening Friday 4th July 2025
Firstly thank you to everyone who came along to our presentation night last night, what a great night we all had.
Following the meal we handed our gifts to everyone who works & supports to make DVWG a success particularly our committee members, walk leaders and website crew too. The biggest thanks go to everyone who comes along to walks and supports our crazy group.
It was great to see invited guests Nick and Emma Powell joining us for the presentations too.
Well done to our club championship winners, Steve Knight, Jane Love and Ian Simpson and to all cumulative prize winners. We also made a special achievement award to our web team and Hilary Beasley. A special presentation was made to Roger Bird, our Werthers man too.
We had the usual mileage game, followed by a legs quiz and finally a monster raffle there were over 85 prizes !!!
Last of all I wish to say a huge thank you to everyone for the fantastic gifts i received too. It is greatly appreciated.
I’m sure their will be lots of photos to see soon so. But for now, the gifts that were bought for David as a show of appreciation for his efforts over the past 16 years, that some of us had a collection for.

We hope to see you on a DVWG walk really soon.
